Todays Run: Resting my knees day
This afternoon my husband and I went to an auction. They had a few things advertised in the paper that caught our interest and we thought it would be fun to go and check them out.
First thing that was different was you could understand the auctioneer. He did not do the mumble, bidderbidderbidder…he just…talked! That was nice!
Most of the people there were courteous. They would move to the side so you could see the item up for bid and then they would bid against you. All in good fun.
There was one item in particular that I wanted. I decided how high I would go and I stuck to it. I am quite and very pleased with myself. I stuck to my original amount, did not go above it and did not get it. What was it?
It was a 1950 Olympic television. Awesome. The cabinet was in mint condition as was the grille cloth. Nice antique television.
Anyway, the people who did get it, paid way too much for it! And with that thought, I am consoling myself.
