Painting

Today’s Run:  Finished the Kitchen and walked the dog 1 mile

The kitchen is officially done.  Bells and Whistles!  It only took about two and a half more hours to finish the painting and then the clean up.  Boy, did I make a mess!

I had walked all over the counter tops to reach the wall above the cabinets.  I discovered that I can stand upright (I did not know I was THAT short) and not bump my head on the ceiling.  So, I was actually pretty comfortable up there.  There we a few corners that were a reach (my arms are short, too) but standing on tippy toe, they got painted.  All that to say, my counter tops were a disaster when it came time to clean.

I really did not bloop paint all over the place like I thought.  There were a few spots that needed attention but all in all, there was not a lot of paint drips to be cleaned.  I had just dragged every bit of painting stuff we owned out of the garage and parked it firmly in the kitchen.  It was fun putting it away.

So, after scrubbing the counter tops and mopping the floors, I put the paintings back up on the walls, socket covers, etc. and the room looks great!  It is a bright, sunny, happy room.

Next project, (because I have leftover paint:  The solarium~)
