Those were the exact words I used in reply to a comment on a FB post I made a week ago today.

See, last Saturday MFH (My Favorite Husband), Paxton and I jumped in the car and drove to Batesville, Mississippi, where I ran the Gateway to the Delta 10 Miler.  It was the very first time I had ever raced this distance and it was a lot of fun!  I ran well (for me) and was content with how it went.  After chatting with friends, MFH, Paxton and I hopped back in the car and we drove home.

That evening, MFH surprised me.  He had taken a pic of me coming down the chute to the finish line!  I’ve never had a pic like this before.  What a nice surprise!  I posted it to FB and told people a little about the race.

People seemed to like the pic but like I said, that was a week ago and now it  was old news.  Or at least I thought it was old news.

Today somebody commented on that pic.  I was surprised.  I was even more surprised when I saw who had commented!  It was the man who had helped me get my page going telling other Mississippi runners about upcoming races in the state.  He does this as part of his yearly income.  Mine is voluntary.  I had told him I didn’t want to step on toes or anything with his business yet being the kind man he is, he helped me get the page off the ground.  Super. Nice. Guy.  #respect

So, here he was commenting on that week old post?

This is what he said:   “Breaking News!!! You’re the new state record holder in your age for the 10 mile. Congrats!”

That’s when I said:  “No Way!  Are you being for real or pulling my leg?”

I mean, let’s be realistic here.  Speedy I am not.  Tenacious as they come, yes.  Speedy?  No.  Here he was was saying I had set a Mississippi State Record for the 10 Mile distance for 53 year old women!?!  I don’t think so…

Pretty soon, he made a separate post to me on my FB page:

Maybe you’ll start believing me now!  🙂

NO WAY!!!   Holy Cow!!!  Hahaha!!!  Will miracles never cease!?!  That has GOT to be the most amazing thing ever!

So, of course I go running to tell MFH.  He had heard me in the living room going, “NO WAY!!!” and was wondering what was up.

He was pretty doggone pleased, too!  After thinking about it he says, “So, does this mean I’m married to the state record holder in Mississippi for 53 yo women in the 10 Mile racing distance?”

I replied, “It DOES!!!!!”  Hahaha!!!
