Today’s Run: 6 x 400’s
I have been dozing here on the sofa for twenty minutes or so, trying to decide whether it was too early for me to go to bed when I realized that I had forgotten to do my blog. Oh No! So here I am, kinda fuzzy around the edges but I am here.
After an entire week off from running, my husband and I were finally able to get out today and “hit the ground running” (ha ha). We ran 6 x 400’s. That is 400 yards at a 5K race pace, six times. It may not sound like much but trust me, it is hard. And that is why I am so pooped tonight. It felt great to be able to run again so even thought I may bellyache about being tired, it was great!
Spent the afternoon painting. Put the finishing touches on two paintings. I will post a pic of one here, the other is a Christmas present so no peeking! The one is a Wisteria bonsai tree. Wisteria is an aggressive plant and this painting is a cultivated/trained one. Caught my fancy I guess. The Wisteria painting is kinda a Monet style. Lots of dots and I learned that I am no Monet! But it was a fun painting to do.
So, tomorrow it is up and trying to fit in a run before the hurricane rains hit. We are supposed to get 5-7″ or so. The wind has picked up some so I guess that even in central Mississippi we still get a little bit of the action.
