[Yesterday’s run: 3.2 miles]
I have a picture that my son took while we were on vacation in Rocky Mountain National Park in the summer of 1994.
A couple of years later we moved out to Estes Park.
Now my son is a writer and photographer for his living, he writes for the Meridian Star newspaper.
He just turned 34 years old and he took that first picture when he was 4, almost 5.
So I went to Michael’s craft store this evening and bought a frame for the picture and I plan to send it to him in congratulations on his 30 years as a photographer.

I may have to rework my handwriting before I give it to him.

I’m reminded you did the same kind of thing but not so early – but early, still. Dark room and chemicals. I think you got equipment second hand from a guy in the neighborhood who had two kids and the younger of the two later down the road wasn’t very good to or for them (how’s _that_ for understatement?). It’s something to ponder that photos in the age of film were not cheap and required effort to get hard copies or slides in and it was best to invest some time and effort to take them. Then wait and see results.
