[Today’s run: 3.2 miles]
I think awhile back mentioned the condition of our street.
You can tell our street was gravel up until fairly recently. When we moved here it had a surface I would call “chip seal” which is a tar with an overcoat of rock.
Since we’ve been here they have put at least two top coats of thin asphalt on it. But it doesn’t last very long. The center is thin and the edges are thick. Over time the center starts breaking up. And the edges start to sag and long-ways cracks form.

The school bus, garbage truck and various other trucks cause a dishing where the wheels run.
And we have a corner which usually is the first part to disintegrate.

So they will probably come out and put another layer on top of this one, eventually.

Not what it’s cracked up to be.
