[runs 10/15, 10/18, 10/21: all 3.3 miles]
I had a great run this morning. It was cool and dry. I put in a little sprint at the end. It was very nice.
I also slept well last night.
I don’t know what the recipe was for that.
I had a meeting on Monday at the office and we went over the project I am working on. I got past a sticking spot and I’m moving forward again.
We had some excitement the other day when there were opossums in the duck enclosure. So we did a bit of midnight eradication. I think I should buy a live trap to avoid having that happen again.
I guess it started on Sunday morning. When I went to feed the ducks there was a big possum sleeping in the fresh cozy straw. So I went in the house and got my .22 and crudely broke up that party.
But that wasn’t all because around midnight on Sunday night my wife woke me up and said she had shot two more and she wanted me to wake up and put clothes on and dispose of the bodies.
That was done with the big one, but the smaller one it turned out was not dead yet. So I had to finish him off with some crude treatment while my marksman was trying to reload.
I then did some more looking around and found a fourth and took care of him too.
There is still a small rat that hangs out under the deck but I think he is scared of the ducks.
I was out there a little while ago with a flashlight and inspected the nooks and crannies and I think we are clean for tonight.
