Yesterday evening we went to Starkville for the Penenger Family gift opening. We ate pizza and opened presents and had a very nice time.
This evening we went to a small-group church function and had a nice meal, some Christmas-y games and a white-elephant type gift exchange.
Our next Christmas event is on Christmas day.
On the transmitter shed update: We were able to pull the fiber optic cable and I messed it up. Not only did I mess up the cable itself, I think I ordered the wrong kind. I was talking to a local technician about fixing the broken cable and he said it would be cheaper to order another. I looked at the specification of what I ordered, and it was not what I thought it was. There are some subtle differences and I got the wrong one.
So, I’m working on ordering another cable. With the holidays I think it may be delayed a bit. So this weekend we may run regular Cat-5 network cable in the conduit just to get something going. We will see.
