[Yesterday 8/29: 3.2 miles on Watson Road]
We are back in our usual chair this week.
Other places in Mississippi have had weather issues, but we really haven’t. Everything is fine.
The big news on that front is the problems with the fresh water system in Jackson. It is my impression that Jackson has had problems in that area for a long time. I hope they can make some progress toward sorting it out.
I got started with the capacitor replacement work in the Fisher X-100-3 amplifier that came my way a while back. I am waiting for some solder wick to come (projected on Friday) so that I can get back to it.
After that work is complete then I will need to measure the resistances and voltages in the tube sockets. If all goes well maybe I’ll have it running in a few weeks.
We heard from the flooring store that our hard wood floor materials have finally arrived. That will be another project for September. He said the installation will take about a week.
