On Saturday 8/13 I ran in the morning with the Starkville group. Then around lunch we started out for Des Moines. We made it to Cape Girardeau and stopped for the night. Sunday we proceeded on to our AirBnB house in Ankeny.
It was delight to be in the house with the whole gang, our children, son-in-law and grandson. That week we visited with folks in Des Moines and also attended the Iowa State Fair a couple of times.
On Saturday 8/20 we drove all the way back from Ankeny to Columbus, MS. Our son did most of the driving. He stayed the night and left Sunday AM to finish his trip home, a bit more than an hour further south.
Last week was a regular work week. I gave blood on Monday evening in Brooksville. I ran Tuesday and Thursday on our new treadmill in the house. On Saturday I did a bit more than 6 miles but mostly walking, still feeling the effects of the blood donation.
