Today we had a birthday in the house. A week ago I thought it was going to be a nice quiet birthday. But as the week progressed it came together to visit a fancy petting zoo down south of Hattiesburg, MS.
So on Saturday we drove down to our son’s house in Meridian. This morning we drove down to Hattiesburg for lunch then on down to the animal place afterwards.
We had a tour guide of our own who showed us around. We got to visit with a lot of their animals and pet some of them, things like porcupines, capybaras, and at the end a juvenile sloth.
Then we drove back to Meridian and back home. It was an interesting day!
