I went to Starkville for the Saturday morning run yesterday. It was cold and there weren’t many people there. But I got to run and talk with Chip and that was a treat.
When we moved to Mississippi in 2009 I was looking for a running group and I got connected to the Boardtown Runners. Every Saturday about 30 people would meet at the White’s house south of Starkville for a group run. I did that for a number of years. Then the White’s decided to retire from their weekly hosting. Things kind of fell apart, but there is a small group that meets in downtown Starkville. That’s the group I ran with most recently.
So I got back in touch with them, found out they are still meeting, and I went over yesterday.
I also went to the monthly ham radio club meeting last Thursday. We had kept our membership paid up, so we were still connected. That was also a nice reunion. The club is still doing well.
