[Today’s run: 5.75 miles]
I have today off for President’s Day!
So I determined this was a good time to take my scrap metal to the scrap yard. This is stuff that I’ve been taking apart from my pallet load of electronics and laboratory items I purchased from Tuscaloosa a couple of weeks ago.
I had been dividing up the aluminum, brass/copper, stainless steel, etc. And I’d been putting the screws/nuts/washers and connectors and such in my scrap bucket. I’ve sold a few of the bits and pieces on ebay and I have a few things up there now.
I was very happy with the result of my trip to the scrap yard. They weighed my sorted buckets and bins separately. And then I drove the truck back into the big scrap yard (weigh-in/weigh-out) and unloaded the few items that were either boring steel or I just had not wanted to dig into.
(The lead-acid batteries were actually from another auction purchase; for a total of $35.75 for the Tuscaloosa pile.)
