[today: rest and travel day]
This summer I have been on a series of week-long trips back to the HQ in Fort Collins to help get a new co-worker up to speed.
I have had good luck with the travel schedule. My first trip was a bit of a mess because of a scheduling shuffle. But after that one things went as planned until yesterday.
Yesterday I was scheduled to fly out of GTR at 4 pm. But that flight was delayed multiple times and eventually cancelled. GTR only connects to Atlanta, no where else, and by small regional jet. I think there are 2-3 flights per day. They fly in from Atlanta and turn right around and go back. It was my impression that the plane for the mid-day run had some kind of issue because they eventually canceled it completely and moved everyone to the 6:40 am outbound flight.
So I didn’t fly out yesterday but I did make it today. I got my connection to Denver OK, got the rental car about 11:30 AM and was at the office around 1:30 PM. Now I am at the hotel. I fly back home on Friday.
