Spring

[Yesterday: 3 miles]

I was aiming to run the regular Watson Road route yesterday.  I’m running slow this week because I did the blood donation thing on Monday evening.  Shortly after the turn-around, I realized that the video conference I was expecting at 4:30 was actually set to happen at 3:30 and it was going to take me that much time to get home and be all sweaty in front of the Skype session.  So I bailed and called my wife to come and get me. That got me home about 15 minutes before the call.

I threw on a real shirt and sat there sweating.  But they decided not to use Skype because they needed the video system to project some other stuff instead of my face.  We just did an audio conference instead.  Whew.

Anyway, spring is in full operation around here.  Our trees are leafing out, we have clover and dandelions in the yard and the various crab-apple and pear tree blossoms have come and gone.

We have been enjoying cooler weather the last few days.  I think my run on Tuesday was pretty warm but yesterday was nice and today is very nice.  Not for long though.  Summer in Mississippi is just around the corner.  Sweating season.  For just a little longer I can be comfortable in long sleeves and long pants, then it is shorts and polo shirts.
