[Today’s run: 13 miles]
My wife is a published author(ess) now. Some people that she knows, somehow, started a local magazine and she submitted an article about her experience with back-yard chickens.
She researched the subject quite a bit. They published her article.
Now she has another article about running.
And, she has started a series of articles about her chickens. One of them is named Ed Stakrispie, and, so the story goes, Ed is a detective. So she has written a series of articles about the detective hen. I think she modeled it somewhat after Sherlock Holmes and Watson because Ed also has a sidekick hen.
She wrote the articles aimed at children. She turned to my mother for some technical advice, what words to use, etc. My mother was a long-time elementary school teacher.
Anyway, now we recently got our first story through the grape vine about a young “fan” of the Ed Stakrispie Detective Hen stories. So I started a facebook page. No sign of the kiddies yet on facebook. Maybe they keep kiddies off of facebook anyway, I don’t know.
I have taken some pictures of Ed and the other chickens. A couple of the best ones she submitted to the magazine with her articles. But some of the others I am posting on the facebook page.
My wife’s chickens are famous.
