Today’s run:  6.12 miles (Hot!)

When I was a kid I used to love to watch Touche’ Turtle.  He was always out to save the world with his trusty sword.  Back then, I mimicked everything I saw and heard and one of the things that I mimicked was the way Touche’ Turtle said sword.  I do not even know if I can spell this phonetically, s-woerd.  You HAVE to pronounce the “W”.  Anyway, my Mom would get so upset with me for pronouncing sword in that manner that she eventually grounded me from my own play sword.

Ah, memories.  And I have been thinking of that all day today because on our run this morning, we encountered a turtle, all by himself, swimming in a ditch.  He was a cute guy, sans sword but seemed content. Here is the intro to the Touche’ Turtle show.
