One of the “Perks” of the Half Marathon I ran last weekend was that all the race pics were free!  Those of you who are runners will know that free race pics don’t happen all that often so I was pretty pleased to find out about that.

They posted the race pics today.

There are a LOT of pics of me!  That was nice.  Most of those pics will never see the light of day. HA!

Most of you know that I left my Endurance Obsession Team Racing shirt at the 4 mile water stop.  That water stop was about two blocks from the start/finish.  I asked them to please drop it off at the start/finish when they packed up their water stop.  They said they would.  No problem.

I finished the race in just my sports bra and shorts…my pudgy tummy hanging out there for all to see.  #UGH

As soon as I crossed the finish line, I began my frantic search for my shirt.  I really, really wanted to cover up.  I couldn’t find it anywhere!

Soon it was time for awards and I would get to go up on the podium!  I was pretty excited about that but not so excited about being on the podium in what I was wearing.  I spied a friend of mine who wears about the same size as I do.  She was wearing her racing shirt AND a jacket.

“Pam!”

She was very gracious and said of course I could wear her jacket until after awards.  She is a good friend!

So, I smiled while I got my award and then returned Pam’s jacket.  MFH and a couple of friends who had carpooled with me returned to our car and headed home.  As soon as we got back to the house, I put on a shirt!  Hahaha!!!

Funny how when you’re running you don’t feel half naked but once you’re DONE running…
