Today’s Run:  Rest Day

‘Twas the day after Thanksgiving and all through the house…

…you would find MFH (My Favorite Husband) in the hall bathroom fixing the leaking tub faucet!  YAY!

This faucet started leaking nine(?) month ago.  At first it was just a drip.  Then it turned into a drip………………..drip.  I do not know how or when it happened but as of this morning it was a drip, drip, drip, drip, drip.  It was driving me nuts!

MFH was hesitant to work on this project because of the shower wrap around.  He was afraid that this “little” project had the potential of turning into a very large and quite expensive big project.

Today my husband has the day off from work.  I did not have to pull out my “honey-do” list.  He pulled it out for me and went right to work on the faucet.

First he took of the handles and that led to a trip to Lowe’s.  Our faucet is a Delta brand faucet and he needed parts.

Lowe’s did not have the exact part we needed.  Rats.  The Lowe’s plumbing guy assured us that a certain spring thing would solve our problem.

And it did!  Cool Beans!

I was able to pick out new handles and a new spout for the shower.  This was exciting!

We came home and after fixing the drip, MFH installed the new handles and spout only to discover that I had selected the exact same thing that we already had!  Do not mess with success, I guess.

So, now I do not hear a drip, drip, drip, drip, drip coming from the hall bath while I am sitting at my laptop.

I consider this a profitable trip to Lowe’s and a judicious spending of our time this morning.  Project complete.
