Old Mother Hubbard

Today’s Run:  4.20 miles

Old Mother Hubbard
Went to the cupboard,
To give the poor dog a bone;
When she came there,
The cupboard was bare,
And so the poor dog had none.

There is much more to this poem but this first verse will suffice.  You see, I need to make another trip to the grocery store but due to time constraints these past couple of days, I have been unable to go.  So, now it is dinner time and I am at a loss as to what to make.

Enter Pizza Hut!

When the kids were little, we loved to go to the local Pizza Hut and order thin crust, pepperoni pizza, extra cheese (cannot forget the cheese).  It was a greasy mess and we affectionately called it “grease on a cracker”.  We would absolutely inhale that pizza making sure to have plenty of napkins and the shaky cheese (shaky cheese=Parmesan cheese).

One time when we were having grease on a cracker, my son grabbed the shaky cheese and gave it a big shake to break it up~he did not know that the lid was off and he threw cheese all over the room~it was very funny!!!

Grease on a cracker holds many fond memories for my family and that is what we are having for dinner this evening.  My husband suggested that I order pizza for dinner since the cupboards were pretty low.  No complaints from me!  We do not order it often anymore so it is a real treat.  I pass on the shaky cheese preferring the red pepper flakes instead, but my husband still likes the shaky cheese.
