It Exploded!

Today’s Run:  11 miles

I have a friend who wanted to learn how to bake bread.  Seeing as how I do all our baking, I gave her my bread recipe.  Well, today she tried it.  I followed her progress online.

Things were progressing just fine when she said “Oh no!  It exploded!”.  That is a little disconcerting when you are not there to see what happened.  She said that she would keep on trying with the batch of dough she had going though.  “Perseverance pays off”, she said.

A little while later she said, “Well, it looks okay”.

Then, “Bread is to die for.  Will definitely do again.  Thanks so much.”

Whew!

She finally admitted to me that instead of letting the yeast bloom for five minutes, she had let it bloom for twenty minutes and it got a little out of control.  Yup.  Yeast has a way of doing that.  I told her that maybe that would make a good science fair project for one of her kids someday?
