Today’s Run: 65 min lifting at the “Y”
This after noon I went with a group of 25 “mature” adults of our church, Main Street Presbyterian Church, on an outing to Houston, Mississippi for our December meeting of the Happy Hearts group. We meet one Tuesday of each month for a luncheon~usually at the church, but seeing as this is Christmas, this was a special outing.
We squeezed into the church 15 passenger van and 4 personal cars and caravan-ed an hour North to the little ‘burg of Houston. I think they have a stop sign there, not sure.
Our destination was an Antebellum home that had been restored and presently used as a Bed and Breakfast. Once a month they serve a brunch/luncheon to select groups and this month was our groups turn. It was lovely!
The home had been decked out in Antebellum period Christmas decorations and looked wonderful/great/super/amazing and any other superlatives that I may have failed to mention! We had a time of singing Christmas carols and lots of time of eating and talking. It was a lot of fun! Here is a pic of the mantel in the room where we were seated~very pretty!
