Last Thursday you would have found MFH (My Favorite Husband) and myself taking Paxton (my pudgy pooch) and the two cats, Kali and Castro over to Reggie’s House to play while we are in Colorado.  I love my pets and miss them while we are gone.  MFH does not have this problem.  He enjoys the break from letting the animals in and out.  Poor guy.

So, on Monday, I was talking to #1 Son on the phone.  I had just watched a funny dog video on FB and mentioned to him that I missed Paxton.  He was indignant!  (Not really, he was teasing me)  “Here I am.  Your own flesh and blood son, 1100 miles away and the best you can say is you miss your DOG!?!

Oops!

I tried to talk my out of that but needless to say, it was an Epic Fail.

This brings us to last night.

Apparently in our hotel there are a few rooms that allow animals.  They are on the opposite end of the premises.  One of the dogs was barking during the night.  MFH heard it.  It was pretty faint but it woke him up.  Not me!  I slept like a rock last night.

When MFH woke me up this morning, he told me this story…

MFH heard the dog barking from the other end of the hotel.  He was laying there and would hear, “Bow-wow-wow!”  then I would go “Woof.”

I was sound asleep.

The dog down the hall again would go, “Bow-wow-wow!!!”

I would reply, “Woof.”

This happened for just a little while.  The little dog shut up, so I did, too.  HA!

MFH figured I was playing with Paxton in my sleep.  The little dog must’ve triggered something.  See,

Paxton and I play this game where we talk to each other.  Silly really.  He says, “Bow-wow-WOW!!!” and I reply, “WOOF!”  We do this for quite a while, until one of us gets tired of it.  It is fun.

Paxton is a nut!

MFH thinks I am having Paxton withdrawal.
