Today’s Run: 3.10 miles
We ate donuts yesterday. They were tasty but never again. You just try to run after a full day of eating nothing but sugar! Ugh!
This evening we went to my son’s house for dinner. He had grilled some pork chops and had some potato salad to go along with the meat. It was a yummy meal and a fun time.
We were able to spend a little more time with Loki. Loki, if you remember, is the rabbit we got our son as an early Christmas present. Cute bunny. I was able to hold him a bit but when the camera came around, he got a little shy and hopped off.
Later on, during our visit he relaxed a bit and really let it all hang out on the floor.
We did not stay long. Do not want to wear out our welcome and all that.
On a different note, I have been working on a painting. It is a challenge.
A friend of mine is a photographer. She took a photo of an arbor in West Point, Mississippi, absolutely loaded with Wisteria. It is really pretty. Well, the photo is anyway. She kinda asked me to paint the photo. I mean, she did not come right out and say, “Paint this picture for me” or anything like that, but she would like to see it painted. So, today was the day of the purple dots.
Wisteria looks like purple dots on a canvas. And this painting has A LOT of purple dots. Dark purple, medium purple, light purple and purple so light is it almost white. While dots may not sound so difficult, remember Monet’? He is very famous for painting using dots and only dots~and I am no Monet’! So, here is a preview of the painting. It has a way to go yet, more dots, more sunshine highlights, more this and more that…
