Saturday March 7

[Tuesday 2.5 at work; Thursday 3 at home; Saturday 5k in Taylorsville]

We had a good week. Both M and I had races today. She did a 20k in the woods SE of Laurel and I did the local 5k here in town. The rest of the day was very quiet. We watched TV and just kind of vegged out.

Work last week was good. I missed one day due to illness, but the rest of the time was focused. We have trade show display units that needed the best of our current product and there was a checklist of minor things to work through. I think we got them all finished by end of day on Friday.

I got our tax information all gathered up and took it in to a place in Laurel and that is all done except the signatures and the e-filing which we are supposed to accomplish asap next week.

Tonight it is stormy outside and we have “spring forward” with the clocks tonight.

Taxes! The high standard deduction makes it a lot simpler than it would be if one had to add up deductions. I have vague memories of the folks at the dinner table doing taxes the old fashioned way. That made “adulting” look like no fun at _all_. It’s so much easier now. FWIW, we do ours on software and e-file and I log everything in Excel to make sure everything is entered (drag-and-drop 1099s and W-2) and that it ties. I think it takes maybe an hour to actually input the info and file. We model it out beforehand for reasonableness and no surprises. https://www.calculator.net/tax-calculator.html
