Some success at work

[I’m still out there. Last week I did a lunch run on two days, about 2.5 miles each. Saturday I did 4 miles from home.]

Friday the workweek ended about as good as one can. Late in the day I had most of the software pieces in place to do an end-to-end test from an i2c command on one little processor, through via UART to another processor and effect a change to what that 2nd one was displaying on the LCD. It worked!

That’s about 4 weeks of accumulated pondering and trying things out in smaller chunks then adding the chunks together.

This week I will be shifting from these configuration issues to programming the communication protocol between the two devices; and I still have some stuff to sort out with the LCD display.

The interior of the house in Columbus has been all repainted and it is back in action on Zillow and MLS and wherever. I was told we had a showing scheduled for sometime today (Sunday) but we haven’t had any news.

Yesterday I took the good car down to the Honda dealer in Hattiesburg for an oil change and checkup. That went well.

Then I looped up through Laurel and did our Wal-Mart shopping and pharmacy stop.

In the evening we were both down in Ellisville to have dinner with a co-worker and his wife.

Today we went to church in the morning than have had the rest of the day kind of quiet. I even took a bit of a nap!

Tonight it is supposed to get down maybe below freezing.

Speaking of which, last week I twice had to scrape ice off of my windshield before heading out in the morning even though the official temperature was well above freezing. So I am wondering if we are in a colder than normal location or something. We are again in that situation where the airport used for official data is 20+ miles away. That has me wondering if I should try to put up a weather station.
