Tower and shrimp

[3.2 miles on 5/8, 5/10, 5/15 and today. 5 miles on 5/13]

Did tower work at the old ham-club site last Saturday. I was taking down the remains of a tri-band beam, the mast, the rotor. We decided to postpone the feed line removal for another day. The ham club has moved to a different location because the old building is in serious disrepair.

On Monday the 15th we went to Starkville for dinner and had a shrimp boil. That was fun. I’m not sure we have an particular expertise in that kind of cuisine. But we made edible food and enjoyed eating it.

I have a blood donation appointment on Friday evening.

This weekend I need to work on the lawn mower. I have to run with the choke on all of the time which means it probably has an air leak into the intake manifold some place. We spent some money on getting it repaired and tuned up at the local dealership, where we bought it long ago. But their repair person, although he/she is willing to charge top dollar for their work, they don’t seem to be much better with results than if I fix it myself. It came back with a few things fixed but some new problems including this choke issue. It has about 700 hours on it, and maybe for a consumer model that is a good number, I don’t know. It seems like it is developing a steady round of small problems.
