[Today’s run: 3+ miles on treadmill]
We made a quick visit to New Orleans yesterday. We zoomed in for a late lunch / early dinner at a place called Cooter Brown’s, sort of near Tulane University. The food was very good.
We also did a quick drive-through of the french quarter. My wife thought that area was creepy.
We came in from the north on I-10 over the lake and then left again toward the north on the Pontchartrain Causeway. Wikipedia says it is the longest continuous bridge over water.
New Orleans was bigger and grittier than I expected. I suspect it would look better in the spring with flowering plants and trees. As for the food, we split a muffuletta and had some buttermilk coleslaw and some fried boudin balls with spicy dipping sauce. It was very good; lots of flavors.
