I really enjoy having a camera in my cell phone. And a flashlight too. And… it’s a phone!
Anyway, when I buy something at Lowes and it doesn’t have a barcode sticker on it, I take a picture of the item label on the rack. I don’t know if they could scan the barcode from the phone screen. I suspect that would work. But they have entered the item # from the picture.

FWIW, I take photo of credit card receipts then throw them away. Camera has time stamp making it easy to find later. If later I have a credit card dispute I don’t have to look for faded receipt in a shoebox…
