Ham Radio Mississippi

In which I get to be the DX

[Today’s run: 8.9 miles (new highway loop)]

It turns out that there are not a lot of amateur radio operators in Mississippi. A ham in Sweden that I spoke to via CW a few days ago sent me his QSL card and wanted one in reply. And he sent a greenstamp too. I guess that makes me the rare DX. Cool.

And he asked if I know of anyone operating in neighboring Noxubee County, which I don’t. But I wrote back that I would be willing to go on a road trip to operate portable if he wants to try that.

I’ve got his QSL card from me ready for tomorrow’s mail.
