I recently took possession of a Cisco RV042 small-office router. The thing has two ISP/WAN ports on it and does some form of load balancing.
Last night and this morning I worked on getting it installed in our equipment closet, AKA the utility room. We now have two internet services and both of them feed into the Cisco router. The reason for that is to improve both speed and reliability. I had a bit of work to do to figure out how it went together. But I think we have it working.
The router also does VPN which I am hoping will allow me to access the home network while I am away.
