[Today’s run: Watson Road 3.5 miles]
I received today some little DC-DC voltage converters. These things are made in China and cost less to buy then what I would spend on the parts.
So the next step is to get the beaglebone and the weather station both working off of one 12 VDC power source. Then I can measure the current usage. My estimates are that it will be about 300 mA, or 0.3 Amps. That is kind of hefty for what we are accomplishing. But I think we can make it work.
Update!: I’ve got the beaglebone working and the 12 VDC current is more like 100 mA. That is a good thing!
