[Recent runs: 2/17: 2.5 miles; 2/19: 2.5 miles; 2/21: 4.5 mixed then another 4.5 hiking in the afternoon at Bonita (I’m kind of tired!)]
Yesterday was an important date so we went to a fancy place to eat down near Hattiesburg. We drove over to Collins then south a bit on 49 to Seminary where we got on 589 and south through Sumrall and Bellevue and a bit farther to a restaurant called Eclipse.
It seemed to be kind of new place, at least it was what looked like a recent business development kind of out by itself on the far west end of the Hattiesburg blob.
We had some very nice and somewhat expensive food. I had a nice 8oz filet, she had scallops. With appetizer, and dessert and the whole shebang came out around 170 and the tip put us over 200 which is probably the most expensive meal for two I have ever purchased. I’m not saying that is bad, things go up over time. And the food was very good.
There were some multi-bulb light rings above our table in a big installation and it made an interesting pattern of light and shadow on the table. The thing that stuck out to me was that the shadow of the glass is shifted in the outer ring to one side. But there is a halo ring and that is shifted the other way. I can’t figure out how both of those things happened.

How did all of those lights make such a strong shadow and not multiple less intense shadows? Maybe the wine created a lens effect?
Today we took the dog with us up to Meridian and had a delicious shrimp/crawfish boil at our son’s house. And after that we did a long hike on the jeep trail at the Bonita Lakes park.
