Long ago, thirty years ago, I worked in Des Moines for a small computer consulting place and we worked sometimes in our office and sometimes in the client’s office. Our office was in NW Des Moines.
Sometimes at lunch I would drive down Douglas to a Schlotzsky’s sandwich place. My favorite was the roast beef with extra lettuce and just a dash of hot sauce. Good stuff.
This past Saturday I went to the Jackson MS hamfest and sold some junk. On the way home I stopped in at the only Schlotzsky’s I know of, anywhere.
It was tasty.
