Alabama Senior Olympics is this next Saturday. Participants are supposed to check in starting at 8 am. I have signed up for four events and they are spread throughout the day.
My goal is to improve my times from Iowa 2021 games.
I finished the baseboard painting in the guest room and the office. I’m going to slow down for the main room and the master bedroom.
There is more work to be done in the solarium also. I purchased a big slab of red oak and I’m trying to cut it down into a usable piece about 6 inches wide and around 65 inches long. It is dried but raw wood and I don’t really have the tools to finish something that large. But we will see how far I get.
Yesterday and today I’ve been trying to sort out some boxes of stuff and get my office room configured.
We went to Tuscaloosa late last week and picked up a couple of rolling desk-drawer cabinets. And this evening we small lateral file. I’m goint to try to discontinue use of my herman-miller hanging lateral drawers. They just take up too much room I think.
Recently I picked up a used hp laser multi-function printer. Most of those are inkjet which I try to completely avoid.
My color hp laserjet, which I recently purchased toners for, is complaining about other parts needing replaced. If my research is correct, that would involve another $500 or so. Not worth it to me. I can probably buy another surplus color printer for $50 if I wait for it.
My need is really for just B/W printing and a scanner of some sort. So the laser multi-function is really ideal for me.
So, the two rolling drawer things are now holding up the closet door as a makeshift work surface. I can now get that Fisher tube audio amp back out on the bench and try to continue the capacitor replacement.
