So the next step for the FM radio station antenna is to get it up on the tower. But before that, I need to have a “jumper”, a piece of feedline coax cable which will go from my high efficiency non-bendable line to the antenna itself. This part needs to be bendable.
Generally speaking, the non-bendable stuff is higher efficiency and the bendable stuff is lower efficiency, generally.
Anyway, I’ve been digging through my pile and I have a couple of options. I need about 15 feet of cable. I have three about 10 feet long and I could join two of them together. Or I could take the fittings off of one of them and use it on a single piece I have. I haven’t decided yet which way to go. I suspect the single cable with fewer fittings would be “better” in an electrical sense, if I could count on my skills putting on the fittings to be as good as the factory-made jobbies.
