I’m in a hotel again this week, back in Ft. Collins for the 5th time this summer. I have one more trip in August and I will have completed the schedule.
I have been at two different hotels, primarily, and they both have the same television service. Both have had large LCD televisions in the room. I find myself attracted to the Velocity Channel where they have antique cars, fancy cars, people doing restorations, etc. It is interesting but not engrossing.
Last night I went to the Barnes and Nobel and bought three books. I’m hoping to pass my time with the books instead of with TV. Somehow it seems more legitimate to read than to just sit and watch. I don’t really accomplish anything substantial with either!
And the time really does pass quickly with TV. It goes by in half hour chunks, like bailing water out of a boat with a bucket.
I don’t watch much TV at home, not of the scheduled variety. We do watch some Netflix on our own schedule. I’m a bit of a TV addict, so I am better off in general if I don’t get started.
