Thanks to the ABA

[today’s run: 2 miles on hotel treadmill]

Thanks to the ABA  (Alabama Broadcasters Association) for their Radio Engineering courses.

I was a bit surprised that there weren’t more LPFM people.  But we had a nice little group and the information was very useful.

Tomorrow is the test review and then the test.  I applied for the same certification on the basis of my Amateur Radio Extra Class license so I am not going to take the test.  I haven’t decided yet if I’m going to stick around for the review.  Maybe it would be best to clear the deck so the guys taking the test don’t have me breathing down their neck.

I hope to be back for the advanced class in a couple more weeks.

Birmingham has been nice. I am in a fancy part of town (or so it seems) just over the hill from a big fancy shopping mall.  I was over at the mall this evening trying to find a couple of items for a birthday coming up.  The ABA has a nice office building, nice class room, good instructors, and the class was free.  I don’t know how it can get any better than that.
