Goodbye Atlantic

[Today’s run 3.2 miles]

Today I cancelled my subscription to The Atlantic.

I’ve been a subscriber for a long time (my guess is about 40 years). But I don’t read it any more and I rarely look at their website.

I think I have complained about them in this space before.

They really changed a lot when they moved from being a New England cultural and literary magazine out of Boston to being a political magazine out of Washington D.C. That’s been quite a while ago.

They had a hard time with Trump leading up to the 2016 election. They were deranged while he was president. And they are having another meltdown now that he is again a candidate.

And the irony is that they spent the Republican primary season bashing on the alternatives. So they ensured Trump would win the nomination and then are aghast that he won the nomination.

Finally, I’m done.

I bailed on them probably 10 years ago. They seemed to become one of the many undifferentiated organs of the tinfoil hat hard left.
