This post is about the radio station server replacement project.
You may recall that I set up a little computer that I could use as a test-bed for working my way through the problems I have with the replacement server.
The current issue is the sound card situation.
I was able to get the FocusRite Scarlett working with my test-bed and with the server.
Now I have acquired a rack mount unit from Behringer UMC1820 which is a similar device, a USB sound interface. And I have been able to get it working with the test-bed. But I’m having problems getting it to work with the server. <sigh>
I think maybe I need to start over with the server and reinstall Ubuntu from scratch. The install media is a bootable thumbdrive that can either run from the drive or do an install. Maybe what I should do is reboot it into the run-from-drive mode and see if it then recognizes my USB sound interface.
