A whole lot of crazy going on

[Today’s run: Rose Garden: 6.8 miles according to google pedometer]

Recently I reconnected with a friend from high school. One of our other classmates who I know of Facebook found him with a search. The search located the information that his younger brother had murdered both of their parents not too long ago. That was kind of shocker.

Then today we were getting ready for our run in Starkville and a guy told us that a couple who used to be in the area and run with us were victims of a domestic crime this week. A few years ago they had moved to Utah where the wife had a job opportunity. The news stories are out that the police came to their house and confronted a man who was shot and killed. When police investigated the house they found our runner friends shot and the husband dead. The man doing the shooting was his brother, and was the one killed by police. Also the house was on fire and eventually was a total loss. The wife is in the hospital.

There just seems to be a lot of crazy going on these days.

If I may so – not only “these days.” Dear neighbors of mine were in Vegas for a week of concerts with friends. One friend is not very mobile and uses a cane. For some reason they opted not to go to another night of concerts and went out to eat instead then ended up having to book a room (quickly) in different hotel as the concert they were to have attended was the target of a mass murderer and wholesale slaughter while they were dining. They are certain they would have been sitting ducks owing to their friend’s situation.
