No thanks Twitter

[Today’s run: 3.25 miles]

Almost every day I post the radio station schedule to Facebook and Twitter. A few months ago my lovely wife talked me into “following” on Twitter the people who follow the radio station postings.

Looking back, I believe that was a mistake.

I get on there these days to post my schedule and I see the most amazing and idiotic junk. It is 99% trash. I don’t even know if these are the same people that I followed or if this is coming from somewhere else.

I get about an even split of right wing and left wing trash. There are a few people that are just normal and say what they’ve been doing or what is going on with them. But they are far in the minority.

I don’t think at this point you could pay me to be a Twitter consumer, one of those people who has to monitor social media for a corporation or be up on the trends of it all. And just the little bit of exposure I get makes me want to take a shower.
