[Wednesday run: 3 miles; Saturday: 6.5 Miles on Gelena trail]

After a fast trip to Mississippi last weekend, yesterday I finally made some headway on the porch project. I built a couple of supports to prop up the roof using a 2×8. The supports are a bit long. I put down some boards on the ground and bashed the ends of the supports inward pushing the roof up. That actually worked out OK.

The next task is to figure out the windows situation. I’ve decided that putting in some real windows, instead of just resetting these old aluminum storm windows, would be a better idea. There are people selling used windows in the area. I hope to get a line on that in the next few days.

Then I will build walls with the proper size openings and put them in under the roof.
