New sofa

[Today’s run:  S. Montgomery to the church and back – 7.9 miles]

We picked up a nice flowery sofa last week for $40 from a Facebook seller.  It is in really good shape.

I’ve been complaining about our TV watching area.  We don’t watch a lot of TV, but it would be nicer if we had some normal, relaxed seating instead of the office chair and a kitchen chair.

So we bought this 2nd hand sofa and hauled it in.

Our TV area is in the enclosed solarium. We had been using it across-ways.  And the new sofa was much more comfortable but it filled in the space so that there wasn’t any room between the TV table, the sofa and some TV trays… it was kind of crowded.  So yesterday I pulled out the measuring tape and we measured the sofa and the room then we rearranged.

Now we have the sofa across the end of the room and the TV table turned a bit.  It makes a much nicer space.

We watched The Illusionist on Amazon Prime.

    Three things.

Looks great. It’s good to have TV out of the living room. I don’t care for that for some reason. We _do_ have one in the living room but it’s flat and against the wall and I often play YouTube fine art or undersea screen savers, or symphony concerts, which is my way of saying it’s an okay compromise.

Half our furniture is craigslist w slipcover cushions. Dogs are encouraged to be on the furniture and laundering slip covers makes that tenable.

We dropped Prime after the price hike but will get it in a year to catch up on content. My favorite is Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. We will miss out on season two until we renew. I enjoyed their commercial-free music streaming but it felt like more and more content required paying more than just Prime membership.
