Some progress on the transmitter shed

[Yesterday: 3.5 miles]

We’ve had some progress on the radio station front.

Yesterday we received the new fiber optic cable and were able to get it run to the shed from the house utility room.  We also pulled out the old non-working cable.

Today I mounted the switch in the house utility room and moved the ethernet connections from the existing switch to the new switch (which has the fiber optic port).  So the shed is now integrated into our local area network.

We are closer to getting the radio station stuff moved out there. I think I want to build a shelf in the shed to hold monitors, keyboards and other off-the-floor items.  I hope to do that yet today.  When we turn off the current setup, I will need to move hardware to the shed and also re-route the antenna cable.  I have a plan for doing that but I should take stock of my connections to make sure I have the right jumpers, etc.
