[Today’s run: Limerock Road 4 miles]
I am not a very organized person. And my work area is particularly prone to a slow accumulation of paper.
I am still a print-it-out-and-read-it kind of guy. Which means that I have stacks of stuff that I have printed out and read. I know from experience that I will want to read it again or make reference to it. But probably half I end up throwing away or printing a second time.
Anyway.
I end up with stuff on all of the horizontal surfaces within arm’s reach of my swivel chair.
I was never around during the days when a guy could have a secretary, someone who was a professional at filing and organizing. I guess I can’t really afford to pay anyone to do that for me either. But the thought is just obscenely luxurious. Here, take this paper. Produce it again when I ask for it. Ahh!
Recently the author of the children’s book “From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E Frankweiler” died. See, someone wrote an interesting book about filing things. I’ve read it. I still can’t file anything.
