[Today’s run: Limerock 4 miles]
I have a box of old meters that I have picked up over the years. I may have bought a few at hamfests, but I think most are from old equipment that I’ve taken apart.
If you get a meter which has a sensitive movement (very small readings) it is possible to use a ‘shunt’ and employ the meter in a situation that requires larger readings. The only problem then is to find a way to adjust the scale of the numbers.
Meters have a lot of artistic design touches: the font, the pointer style and the body trim.
This one has a plain pointer and a fancy font. Across the top it says “Marion Electrical Instrument company”.
