TS-830 repair underway

[Today’s run: rest day]

We went to Radio Shack last night after dinner to pick up some solder wick.  They have a nice display of various sizes and kinds of solder.  But no solder wick.

I came home and stripped out some shielding from a piece of  coax cable and rubbed in some solder flux.  That has worked ok for solder wick.

I’ve removed and repaired two of the seven sub-boards of the bandswitch.  Here’s a picture of board #2.  You can see small soldered places on each of the contacts. I am trying to make a connection between the springy metal thing and the copper trace.
