We’ve been enjoying some well needed rain from Tropical Depression Francine today.
About 2 pm we lost all power. It looked like everyone on our street was affected.
It took about an hour to get the power back on.
And then I went to restart the radio station server, the old one, and it gave me a disk drive error 🙁 bummer. I had it set up with mirrored boot drives. But maybe the other drive had already died. Or maybe the power supply or motherboard have finally died. I don’t know.
I scurried around and got the new server up and going. I had it on the air at 8 pm. And I have the log built for Friday so it can start the new day at midnight as usual.
Whew. That was not the way I wanted to do it. But it is working.
One missing piece at the moment is the line of text in the streaming that says what is currently playing. I will have to work on that.
