I think it is going to be a difficult summer. People on Facebook seem to be much more volatile than usual. The temperatures are turning hot. It’s an election year. And the virus thing.
I’m not sure I am up for it to be honest. I would like to be further away in some quieter place. And it makes me sad that the Iowa State Fair may not be there at the end of summer to give me joy. I’m not saying they should hold it just for me. But I’ll miss it.
I had an appointment with the eye doctor last week. Everything is OK. I even have the same prescription. I was hoping to get some new glasses but since the prescription is the same and the ones I wanted were $800, I decided not. I’m doing some shopping on the internet sites but even those are kind of pricey for what I want. So I may just stick with what I have. I still have the contacts left over from last year when I gave that a try… same prescription.
I discovered a big door-ding on the passenger side of our car. It’s a 2012 so not new. But I was hoping we could keep it in good condition until we have it paid off. I may call around and see if we can get it fixed for a reasonable amount. Carrying the dog in it is eroding the interior as well. I admit it, I’m a car slob.
The car is running well and I’m glad for it. We can get some seat covers and live with dent for a long time if we have to.
Work is kind of in Limbo. We are back from a two week break and trying to sort out what the projects are and who is doing what. I don’t feel like I am accomplishing anything at the moment. But hopefully that will change soon.
